SKILLBOOST Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the SKILLBOOST app, website, and related services. SKILLBOOST is intended for users 13 and older and is not intended for children under 13.

2. Information SKILLBOOST collects

SKILLBOOST may collect and store the following categories of information when you create an account or use the app:

• Account information, such as your email address and authentication-related data managed through Supabase Auth. Password hashes are handled by Supabase Auth and are not stored directly by SKILLBOOST in app tables.
• Profile and training information, such as weekly workout goal, position, playstyles, primary focus, secondary focus, difficulty, session length, and basketball skill ratings.
• Progression and onboarding information, such as onboarding status, onboarding step, progression timing fields, and related preference state used to personalize your experience.
• Workout data, such as current workout data, workout history, completed drills, total workout minutes, workout dates, and workout feedback, including optional free-text notes you submit.
• Usage, analytics, and diagnostic information, such as page and screen views, feature interactions, sign-in and sign-up completion, onboarding completion, paywall and subscription events, workout completion events, device, browser, and app context, crash and error logs, technical diagnostics, and related debugging information used to understand how the app is used and to detect and fix problems.

3. How SKILLBOOST uses your information

SKILLBOOST uses your information to:

• operate and secure the service, including account sign-in, sign-out, and account management;
• personalize basketball workouts, training recommendations, and progression features;
• maintain account features such as profile settings, workout history, and saved preferences;
• understand product usage and improve the app over time; and
• detect, investigate, and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues.

4. How information is shared

SKILLBOOST does not sell your personal information. SKILLBOOST does not share your profile or workout data with advertising networks.

SKILLBOOST uses third-party service providers to operate, host, analyze, and monitor the app. These providers process information on SKILLBOOST’s behalf and only as needed to provide their services:

• Supabase for authentication, database storage, and account-related operations.
• Vercel for hosting and deployment of the app and backend.
• PostHog for product analytics.
• Sentry for error and crash monitoring.

PostHog may receive product usage and event data, such as page and screen views, feature interactions, sign-in and sign-up completion, onboarding completion, paywall and subscription events, workout completion events, device, browser, and app context, and a user identifier used to associate events with your account after sign-in. The current PostHog integration does not send your email address or password to PostHog as event properties.

Sentry may receive diagnostic and error data, which can include crash reports, technical debugging information, and app, device, browser, route, or screen context used to detect and fix bugs.

SKILLBOOST does not send passwords to PostHog, Sentry, or other analytics or diagnostic providers.

5. Passwords and account security

SKILLBOOST uses Supabase Auth for account authentication and related security flows. Password hashes are handled by Supabase Auth rather than stored directly in SKILLBOOST’s app tables.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact SKILLBOOST at support@skillboostapp.io.

6. Email communications

SKILLBOOST may send account-related emails such as password reset emails, email change confirmation emails, and other authentication-related communications using Supabase’s auth email system. These messages are transactional and are used to operate your account securely.

7. Data retention

SKILLBOOST retains your information for as long as needed to provide the service, operate your account, maintain workout history and settings, and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, SKILLBOOST will make reasonable efforts to delete associated personal data from active systems, subject to technical, backup, or legal limitations.

Analytics and diagnostic data may remain in service provider systems for a limited period consistent with their retention settings and SKILLBOOST’s legal and operational needs. Some analytics or diagnostic records may also persist in backups or logs for a limited time before they are removed or overwritten.

8. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account directly within the app through the Settings page. When you delete your account, SKILLBOOST is designed to remove your profile, current workouts, workout history, and associated authentication account records tied to your account.

Deleting your account may not immediately remove all analytics or diagnostic records from backups, logs, or service provider systems. If you need help with account deletion or related privacy questions, contact support@skillboostapp.io.

Deleting your SKILLBOOST account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed through Apple. If you purchase a subscription through the App Store, you must manage or cancel that subscription through your Apple account and Apple’s subscription tools.

9. Your choices

You may be able to:

• update your email address in the app;
• update your password in the app;
• reset your password using the password reset flow;
• sign out of your account; and
• delete your account in-app.

10. Children’s privacy

SKILLBOOST is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to SKILLBOOST, contact support@skillboostapp.io.

11. International users

SKILLBOOST is operated from Alabama, United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, including by service providers such as Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, and Sentry.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

SKILLBOOST may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates are made, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means.
